We offer courses within project management and project methodology. We train and coach our clients and help them to become more effective. Our courses are aimed at everyone who works with projects – project managers, clients, sponsors, project members and other stakeholders.

Arkatay has a strong selection of courses that are ideally suited to people who want to develop in their role as project manager and who are interested in gaining an internationally recognised certification as an additional stamp of quality on their CV. We have chosen to primarily focus on pre-exam preparatory courses aimed at participants who intend to seek Project Management Institutes (PMI)® certifications – partly due to the fact that PMI is the largest organisation for project managers from an international perspective, and partly because the process of gaining certification through PMI is more straightforward and cost-effective than equivalent certifications from IPMA.

Six good reasons why you should seek certification

  1. You gain evidence of your professional competence and experience.
  2. You increase your value on the job market.
  3. You create opportunities for continued career development.
  4. You increase your own and your organisation’s credibility.
  5. You learn a global nomenclature for project management.
  6. You contribute to raising the standard of project management.

PMI’s certifications

The Project Management Institute is an organisation with over 500,000 certified members from more than 180 countries. The theoretical fundamentals are gathered together in the PMBOK® Guide.

The most popular certification from PMI is Project Management Professional (PMP)®, which is aimed at experienced project managers. If, however, you are only at the beginning of your career, you can instead seek certification as a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®. The Program Management Professional (PgMP)® certification is aimed at people who primarily work at programme level.

PMI recently also launched a certification within the management of agile projects – PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)SM.
Furthermore, PMI offers two specialist certifications – PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP)® and PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP)®.

You can read more about PMI and the various certifications at www.pmi.org.

Which certification suits you best?

Naturally, your choice of course and certification will depend on what you want to achieve, what sort of prior experience and training you have, what sort of organisation you work in etc. We would be delighted to assist you with a review of your competence and experience in order to identify the course and certification that is just right for you!

We continually work to improve our courses, not only in terms of the teaching methods, content and materials, but also with the help of our own pedagogical tools – for example our popular process puzzle.

Examination guarantee

In the unlikely event that you do not pass the certification exam at the first attempt after having completed one of our preparatory courses, you will be offered the opportunity to repeat our course free of charge.

Quality-assured by PMI

As a PMI-certified R.E.P. (Registered Education Provider), Arkatay can guarantee that you will receive a course of the very highest quality.

Our endeavours to ensure project success for our clients entail both practical aspects in the form of operative project management, project limitations, project maturity measurements etc. and theoretical aspects in the form of certification-oriented preparatory courses and topic-specific courses. Our seminars combine theory and practice in a concentrated form – ideal as a complement to the other forms of competence development undertaken by our clients.

What characterises Arkatay’s seminars?

We derive the benefits of the group’s collective experience and mix up the lectures with group discussions and group exercises.

Combination of practice and theory

Our seminar leaders are all experienced project management consultants, highly appreciated course leaders and accustomed lecturers. With a mixture of humour and warmth, they share their competence with the audience and create dialogue between the seminar participants.

Seminars developed in-house

All of our seminars are the result of the company’s collective practical experience combined with the relevant theory and research within the topic at hand, summarised in a concentrated and effective format.

Responsive to your specific situations

At the crossroads of the challenges and problems faced by our clients and Arkatay’s practical experience and theoretical knowledge, new and relevant seminar topics are identified, always based on the composition of the project management groups and the competence requirements that exist.
